Grenz v. Confidential Skilled Nursing Facility - $1,030,000 SettlementGrenz was a long-term dementia resident at a skilled nursing facility. She began rubbing her calf on her wheelchair and eventually opened a sore as a result. The nursing home did not alert her doctor or family about the condition but instead tried to conceal its' progression to the point where the sore went down to the bone. An unrelated condition caused her to go to an emergency room where the wound was discovered and shown to her family. The family made a complaint to the state but amazingly the state did not issue a citation. We undertook the civil suit which resulted in a settlement of $1,030,000.
Foote v. Confidential Skilled Nursing Facility - $750,000 Settlement, Discovery of Ten Additional Cases Against The Home And Eventual Closure of the HomeDefendant died under what initially appeared to be natural causes. Weeks later a nurse confessed that the resident died due to malfunctioning equipment. The nursing home denied this and challenged the nursing aids credibility. We eventually found ten other residents that had also received substandard care including malfunctioning equipment. Foote's case settled for $750,000 and the other families cases resulted in multiple millions in settlements. Shortly thereafter, the nursing home closed and sold the home.

- Medi-Cal prequalification scams
